Lands' End
The Lands’ End corporate recruitment team set out to produce a video for its online career page that concisely conveyed the company’s values, culture, and mission to prospective candidates. Seeing an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the people who comprise its brand, the recruitment team sought to let team members do the talking—featuring interviews with a diverse group of employees who could share their perspectives and speak from experience while showing the inviting physical spaces Lands’ End’s headquarters had to offer.
Lands’ End first tasked us with understanding their big vision and distilling it into a project plan that accommodated a limited budget. Once that plan was developed, we executed it. This role involved staging shooting areas, coaching on-screen talent, shooting the video, and all editing and post-production.
After a few rounds of iterating the project plan to fit the constraints of the project, shooting commenced over the course of a year to capture many of the events the company holds for staff. This footage, along with a variety of workplace footage, was combined with staff interviews that were filmed at the company headquarters in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Our small team and casual approach to shooting benefited the shoot immensely—creating a calm, friendly, and fun set where people felt natural on camera.
The final product was placed on the company’s recruitment page, where it continues to play a vital role in attracting candidates.
